Mumbai. Two very popular films are being re-released at the box office today. The first is Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta starrer ‘Veer Zaara’ and the second is the 2018 horror film ‘Tumbbad’. Veer Zaara is the best romantic drama of Shah Rukh’s career, which was released in 2004. The film made a record by collecting Rs 100 crore at that time. It is being re-released on the big screen for the fans after two decades. Advance booking of both has also been done. However, in terms of advance booking, ‘Tumbbad’ is ahead of ‘Veer Zaara’.
‘Tumbaad’ is still getting positive response from the audience. The film was directed by Rahi Anil Barve. When this horror-thriller was released in 2018, it struggled a lot at the box office and collected Rs 13 crore. Still, it gained a lot of popularity. It was highly praised by critics. Advance booking shows that it will be successful for the second time.

So many tickets in advance booking of ‘Tumbaad’
According to a report by Pinkvilla, ‘Tumbbad’ sold 21,000 tickets in three national theatre chains during pre-sale. PVR Inox sold 15000 tickets, while Cinepolis sold 6000 and MovieMax chain sold 1000 tickets. This shows that the film will hold strong at the box office. Based on ticket sales, ‘Tumbbad’ can earn Rs 1 crore on the first day.
Only this many tickets of ‘Veer Zara’ were sold
While major cinema chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis sold 3,250 tickets as advance sales for Yash Chopra’s directorial venture Veer Zaara, MovieMax chain sold more than 300 tickets, which is more than the new movie released this week, The Buckingham Murders. Veer Zaara is expected to earn Rs 15-20 lakh on the first day. Veer Zaara will be re-released on 250 screens across India. There will be only one show per day in every theatre.
