According to a report in News18 English, Jaya’s father Tarun Kumar Bhaduri wrote in a 1989 article in the Illustrated Weekly of India, “I think he is not some struggling actor from Bombay. There are some wicked people who say Amitabh married Jaya because she is a big star, which is absolutely wrong.
