New Delhi: Actress Manisha Koirala recently recalled the difficult phase of her life when she was suffering from cancer. Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. The actress has now broken her silence on physical and mental problems. Manisha visited the London office of a cancer charity during her UK trip, where she met cancer patients and learned about the charity’s efforts to help those affected by it.
The actress said, ‘I want to use my voice not only to support cancer patients, but also to create awareness about the need for equal medical services and the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms of cancer. Having faced cancer myself, I know how isolating and challenging this battle can be. I believe it is important that we all take the initiative in bringing about change for others.
Manisha had undergone treatment in New York
The actress also talked about the letter she received from the Princess of Wales. According to the IANS report, she said, ‘I wanted to approach the Princess of Wales, especially because of my experiences. I am very happy to receive a warm response from him and I wish him good health. Manisha underwent treatment in New York and recovered in 2014.
Manisha made a comeback with ‘Hiramandi’
Talking about work, Manisha Koirala has made a comeback in acting this year with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, in which she played the role of Mallikajan. Koirala and Sanjay Leela Bhansali came together again after 28 years for this period drama. Earlier, she had also worked in the Netflix production film ‘Lust Stories’ and played the role of Nargis in Ranbir Kapoor starrer film ‘Sanju’.
