New Delhi. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Her character of Manjulika will be seen once again in the film. Vidya Balan was a part of the first film of this franchise, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007). The movie proved successful at the box office and Vidya Balan’s strong acting was also appreciated. However, despite his tremendous performance, he did not receive any award for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. Now Vidya Balan has spoken openly on this matter.
Vidya Balan says that she did not get the award for her brilliant performance in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, due to which her father felt very bad. In an interview given to Galatta India, the actress said, ‘At that time I was told that it is a remake of a Malayalam film, hence my performance is not eligible for nomination, so I said okay, no problem. But I remember that my father felt very bad. I said let’s move ahead, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t, but your parents, your family feel bad.

The actress further said, ‘He (father) used to say that what a good performance it was, an award should have been given. But I said that it was not just my performance in the year, because it is always comparative. Someone else got it because his performance was liked more than mine, but he felt very bad.
Won Best Actress Award for four years
In 2008, Kareena Kapoor won most of the Best Actress awards for her role as Geet in the romantic-comedy ‘Jab We Met’. After this, Vidya Balan proved herself and won Best Actress awards for 4 consecutive years. She won Best Actress awards for R Balki’s ‘Paa’ in 2010, Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Ishqiya’ in 2011, ‘The Dirty Picture’ in 2012, and ‘Kahaani’ in 2013.
Vidya Balan called herself lucky
Vidya Balan said, ‘I feel that I am very lucky. I have always focused on my work and not on the results. I received so many awards which I had not even imagined. So I am always very grateful. But yes, it was very surprising, because everyone told me that you deserve an award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa, but I thought let’s move on.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ will hit the screens on Diwali
Let us tell you that after 17 years, Vidya Balan will play the role of Manjulika again in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. It also stars Kartik Aryan, Trupti Dimri, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raj and Madhuri Dixit in important roles. This film will be released in theaters on November 1, 2024 on the occasion of Diwali.
