Prateik Babbar recently spoke openly about his drug addiction. The actor said that he was addicted to drugs since the age of 13. It is not that all this happened because of the fame of the film industry. But yes, it had a huge impact on both his personal and professional life. However, now he is slowly moving forward from this.

In an interview given to Bollywood Bubble, Prateik Babbar said, ‘People think that I started taking drugs after getting fame and money by coming into the film industry. But it is not true. My drug addiction started at the age of 13. I was brought up differently and my family situation was a bit complicated, due to which I started taking drugs. It was not because of the fame and money of the film industry, I had already started using drugs.

Prateek said, ‘Drugs are associated with pain. Unless that pain is healed, it affects your relationship and life as well. However, there comes a time when you have to work hard to make things right. I have been doing just this for many years.

Talking about his fiancee and actress Priyanka Banerjee, Prateek said, ‘Priyanka has supported me a lot in my difficult times. We are helping each other. However, there is no need to correct Priyanka. He is absolutely perfect. This is life, here you just have to keep moving forward.
