Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India’s first electric two-wheeler will come with two swappable batteries. The company is preparing to launch it in India on November 27. This could be e-Activa. Honda has released the teaser of the e-scooter, in which both swappable batteries are shown. Earlier released teasers showed two different types of digital instrument clusters.

The company says that this scooter will be as powerful as Activa 110 and it will get a range of 104km on a single charge. The company recently introduced its concept model at the EICMA auto show held in Milan, Italy. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of TVS i-Cube, Ather Rizta, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 range.

Turn-by-turn navigation and music controls The teaser shows that the lower variant of Activa Electric will get a 5-inch TFT display, while the top variant will get a 7-inch multi-color screen. Battery charger, range left, speed, mode, Bluetooth connectivity, service alert and many important information will be visible in the touch screen. Apart from this, the e-scooter will also have features like turn-by-turn navigation and music control.

At the same time, information like speedometer, battery percentage, odometer and traveling data will be available in the TFT display of the base variant of the e-scooter. As per previous teasers, the electric scooter will have a swingarm-mounted motor. Apart from this, a glimpse of LED headlamp and seat has also been seen. The electric scooter will also be provided with all-LED lighting setup and USB-C charging port.

Design: E-scooter will come with three color options The concept model of e-scooter CUVe was recently introduced at the automotive show EICMA held in Milan, Italy. E-Activa has been given a traditional scooter design, which looks quite simple. In this, the headlight is given on the front panel, whereas in the Activa petrol version, the headlight is available on the handle bar. The electric scooter will be offered with three color options. This includes Pearl Jubilee White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Premium Silver Metallic.

The Honda electric scooter has telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It uses 190mm front disc and 110mm drum brake at the rear. It has 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides. E-Activa will have a wheelbase of 1,310 mm, seat height of 765 mm and ground clearance of 270 mm.

Performance: 104km range on full charge with removable battery If media reports are to be believed, the Honda electric scooter will be provided with a swingarm-mounted electric motor with a maximum power of 6kW. The scooter will be given three riding modes: Standard, Sport and Econ. Apart from this, physical key and reverse mode will also be available as standard.

To power the motor, two 1.3kWh removable batteries will be available, which will have a range of 104km on a single charge and its top speed will be 80kmph. The electric scooter will take 3 hours to charge from 0 to 75% and 6 hours to charge from 0 to 100% using a standard charger.
