We felt strange that we had not heard a Hindi song for a long time. We asked whether Hindi songs are also played here? He said- Yes, it is a Hindi song. We asked- Where is the sound coming from? The shopkeeper said- It is coming from there. We told you to pack your shoes.

Lucky Bisht was doing special operation in Dimapur

Lucky Bisht further said, ‘We had to carry 20-25 shoes, because not everyone is allowed to come from the camp. One or two people get an out pass, they will bring everyone’s luggage. As I went to that shop and we were listening to that song, the ground shakes and there is an explosion. Actually, someone had followed us till the place where we were buying shoes. Information about us had got out to someone. He planted a bomb here and blew up many shops. We did not know earlier that this bomb was planted for us. That song saved us.

Sonu Nigam’s father sang a hit song
Lucky Bisht finally told, ‘That song was ‘Shukriya Shukriya Dard Jo Tune Diya’. Sonu Nigam’s father (Agam Kumar Nigam) had sung it, which was very popular at that time. This is from the year 2004-05. That song saved me. The explosion was so strong that there was a barber shop some distance away, whose glass was also broken. Lucky Bisht is talking about Dimapur Bombing in the year 2004, which was carried out by terrorists on 2 October 2004. Hong Kong market was targeted in the blast. About 30 people were killed and more than 100 people were injured in the attack. This was a very deadly terrorist attack on Nagaland.
