The Central Government of India has given the green signal to the Venus Mission. ISRO has named it Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM). Shukrayaan 1 will be the first part of this mission. Along with this, the government has also approved the Indian Space Station (BAS). This will be India’s own space station. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Director Nilesh M Desai shared this information.

Said That the Government of India has recently approved their Venus Orbiting Satellite Shukrayaan-1. It will be launched in 2028. Venus is also called Earth’s twin planet. This planet is closest to our Earth. It is believed that the planet Venus was formed under almost the same conditions under which the Earth was formed.

The VOM spacecraft will help scientists understand how the environments of different planets develop. Also, this mission will help in understanding the theory that Venus might once have been a habitable planet, and how it changed later. Apart from this, this mission will be important for India in many ways, for example, in future, India will be able to carry bigger payloads on missions to other planets. It will also be able to enter the planet’s orbit in a better way.

Along with Shukrayaan 1, the government has also approved the Indian Space Station (BAS). This will be India’s own space station. The International Space Station has 16 pressurized modules, but India’s space station will have only 5 modules. The first module will be launched in 2028. India’s space station will be ready by 2035. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that when India lands on the moon in 2040, our own space station will be working as a transit facility.

After Chandrayaan 3, India is now preparing for Chandrayaan 4. Chandrayaan 4 will be special because it will not only land on the moon but will also bring samples of soil and stones to Earth from there. India plans to partner with Japan for Chandrayaan 4. While Chandrayaan 3 had landed on the Moon’s South Pole at 69.3 degrees, Chandrayaan 4 will try to land on the South Pole at 90 degrees South.
