Mumbai. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday raided the Mumbai bungalow and office of actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. Apart from this, ED raided 15 places in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. In this raid, ED officials seized digital and electronic devices, which are related to the pornography case. Apart from this, some of his bank accounts were also frozen. This raid was conducted against him in connection with the money laundering investigation related to the pornography network case.
ED has frozen the bank accounts of some accused. He can no longer transact money from these accounts. ED team jointly conducted raids from Mumbai, Lucknow and Prayagraj. According to a source in the investigating agency ED, Rohit Chaurasia of Kathkuian has been issued a notice and summoned to the Mumbai ED office on December 4. Rohit Chaurasia will be interrogated in detail.
The search operation in the case related to Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra has been completed but the investigation is ongoing. He is a software engineer living in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh and is on the radar of the investigating agency. After detailed interrogation, major action can be taken against him today.
The accused used the bank accounts of his wife and father
Arvind Srivastava and many people associated with him are also on the radar of the investigating agency. Arvind Srivastava is originally from Kanpur area of Uttar Pradesh. On Friday, ED had raided Arvind Srivastava’s house in Shyamnagar in Kanpur. Arvind, who was living in Singapore for a long time, used to manage Kundra’s production house. According to the source, it is alleged that Arvind Srivastava used the bank accounts of his wife and father to spend crores of rupees of black money from pornographic films.
2 accused were interrogated for 12 hours
On Friday, ED also raided the houses of Raj Kundra’s associates and a search operation was also conducted at the house of a businessman from Kushinagar. Two suspects were interrogated for 12 hours in Rajput Colony of Padrauna in Kushinagar and Kathakuiyan in Kubersthan. However, in this matter the source of the investigating agency says that the investigation is going on. Therefore, it is difficult to say anything right now. However, some formal revelations may be made by late evening.
Raj Kudra was arrested in 2021
Raj Kundra was arrested in June 2021 for allegedly making obscene films. Later, after spending two months in jail, he got bail in September 2021. Since then the investigation of this matter is going on.
