Mumbai. Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED a day ago. Raj Kundra has to appear before the ED this morning. Apart from Kundra, other accused are to appear before the ED two days ago in the money laundering case related to the pornography case. ED had also sent summons to him. On Friday, ED had raided 15 locations linked to ED Raj Kundra and other accused. In this raid, ED had frozen many bank accounts. While electronic and digital devices were seized.
ED is investigating the money laundering case related to this case. ED now wants to speed up the investigation of the case by recording the statements of all the accused. According to sources, ED has prepared a list of questions on the basis of evidence recovered from a total of 15 places including Raj Kundra’s home and office. On this basis, preparations are now being made for further investigation.
This money laundering case registered in May 2022 is related to two FIRs and chargesheet of Mumbai Police filed against Raj Kundra and other accused. In this case, Kundra and some other accused were arrested by the police and later they were granted bail. This is the second ED case against Kundra. Earlier this year, ED had seized assets worth Rs 98 crore of Kundra and Shetty in the crypto currency case, but the couple got relief from the Bombay High Court against this attachment order of ED.
