In fact, when the crowd in Hyderabad was enjoying Pushpa Raj on 4th December, there was silence in Revati’s family. There was a stampede in a theater in Hyderabad on Wednesday night during the premiere of ‘Pushpa-2 The Rule’, the sequel of the 2021 film ‘Pushpa’.

While 9 year old Shretej was battling between life and death in a hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday, the body of his mother Revathi was lying in the mortuary. Amidst all this, husband Mogdampalli Bhaskar was wondering whether 32 year old Revathi had lost her life by giving importance to family more than herself as usual. It was Revati who donated the liver to her husband Bhaskar and saved his life.

Sritej, son of Revathi and Mogadampalli Bhaskar, is 9 years old. He was with his mother during the premiere and was injured. Shritej had also seen ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ three years ago. After watching that film he became a big fan of Allu Arjun. Because of that the neighbors started calling Shretej ‘Pushpa’. On the death of his wife, 40 year old Bhaskar is remembering his wife’s sacrifice. He said, ‘She gave me life, and now she is gone. He told that when he needed a liver transplant, Revathi had donated a part of her liver in 2023. Recalling this, she said that even in her last moments, she was busy keeping her children happy. The husband of deceased Revati said that when the police told the news, my world was destroyed.

The family had gone to get a glimpse of Allu
According to the news of Times of India, Revati and Bhaskar have two children – Shritej and Saanvi. Shritej and his younger sister Saanvi had been insisting for a long time to take their parents to the show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. Wednesday was considered a special movie night for them because Allu Arjun himself was going to attend the premiere at Sandhya Theatre. When a stampede broke out after Allu Arjun’s arrival, Revathi was with her son Shretej and both of them got trapped in the uncontrollable crowd.

How was the daughter’s life saved?
According to husband Bhaskar, he had left the place with Saanvi some time ago because the girl started crying amid the push and pull of fans desperate to get a glimpse of the film star. After this Bhaskar left the daughter at her maternal grandmother’s house. Crying, Bhaskar said, ‘I decided to drop Saanvi to my in-laws’ house in the street next to the theater. By the time I returned, my wife and son were not where I had left them. When I called, Revathi said that she was inside the theatre…that was the last voice I heard.

Husband stuck between wife and son
According to the news, Bhaskar believes that Revathi got seriously injured while trying to save her son from the uncontrollable crowd who was running away from the police lathi charge. He was facing a double blow. On one hand, his wife’s body was in the mortuary and he was waiting outside. On the other hand, his son was battling for life and death in the hospital due to lung injury. There was a stampede during the premiere show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on the night of 4th December.
