New DelhiComedian Mushtaq Khan, who has become famous among the audience with his comedy in many films, was kidnapped from the Meerut-Delhi highway. On November 20, Mushtaq Khan had reached Delhi to attend an award function, but then this accident happened with him. The actor’s business partner Shivam Yadav told India Today Digital that the actor was tricked into sitting in the wrong vehicle after which he was kidnapped.
Mushtaq Khan was given a flight ticket and advance payment to attend an event in Delhi. However, as soon as he reached Delhi, he was taken in a car to a deserted area near Bijnor, where he was held captive by kidnappers for about 12 hours. According to the actor’s business partner, the kidnappers tortured him for 12 hours and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore. Despite all this, he was able to recover only Rs 2 lakh from the account of the actor and his son.
The sound of Azaan saved life
According to Shivam, ‘Mushtaq Khan managed to escape after hearing the morning azaan. He realized from the sound of Azaan that there was a mosque nearby. The actor took advantage of the opportunity and ran away from there and with the help of people, he was successful in escaping from the clutches of the kidnappers. With the help of the police, Akshay Kumar’s co-star was successful in reaching his home safely.
FIR lodged in Bijnor
Mushtaq Khan’s business partner Shivam further says, ‘Mushtaq sir and his family were deeply shaken by this accident. The actor was clear that once he recovered from this shock, he would definitely get an FIR lodged. I went to Bijnor yesterday and got an FIR lodged. We have flight tickets, bank accounts and CCTV footage of the airport. They can also identify the house where they were kept.
It is noteworthy that the incident of kidnapping of Mushtaq Khan has come just a few days after the news of the disappearance of comedian Sunil Pal. Sunil Pal had also told that he had come to Delhi for an event and he too was kidnapped from the Delhi-Meerut Highway.
