Recently, Kartik Aryan revealed that he had lied to director Kabir Khan to get the lead role. He said that because of the one and a half minute lie, he had to undergo rigorous training for one and a half years for the film.
India Today According to the report, during a session of Agenda Aaj Tak 2024, Kartik Aryan, while remembering his character in ‘Chandu Champion’, said that he had lied that he knew swimming to get the role in the film. During the session, Karthik was asked whether he had ever lied for any film. The actor confessed that he lied for ‘Chandu Champion’ when Kabir asked him if he knew how to swim.

Kartik Aryan told, ‘I had already read the script and I liked it very much. So when Kabir sir asked me if I knew professional swimming, I lied and said that yes, I do.’ After this, Karthik Aryan told how heavy this lie was on him. He had to learn swimming for one and a half years. He told, ‘This one and a half minute lie weighed heavily on me for one and a half years. It took me one and a half years to learn swimming.
