Kanjivaram Saree
Kanjeevaram saree in itself is a very beautiful and royal looking garment. It is originally prepared in the Kanjeevaram (Kanchipuram) region of Tamil Nadu. This saree is prepared on pure silk fabric.

Talking about the design of this saree, these sarees are very heavy and their border is also very heavy because there is gold and silver work on it. These sarees have traditional shapes of temples, flowers, animals and birds (like peacock, swan). The body and border of the Kanjeevaram saree are woven separately and joined later, giving a clear distinction.

New brides mostly like to wear Banarasi saree in weddings. These are originally made in the Varanasi (Banaras) region of Uttar Pradesh. These sarees are prepared on pure silk as well as cuttack or chiffon fabric. Its design is quite subtle.

Most of the Banarasi sarees have designs inspired by Mughal art like vines, flowers, leaves, nets and intricate motifs. Along with this, there is more Zari and Meena work on them. Banarasi sarees are available to you in traditional and diverse colors. There is heavy weaving all over this saree, making it look grand and royal.
