The brutality of humans has increased to such an extent that now even animals are not desisting from committing heinous crimes like rape. Recently, an incident of rape of a one and a half month old dog has come to light in Naigaon, adjacent to Mumbai. This was revealed by TV actress Jaya Bhattacharya during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.

Jaya Bhattacharya said- We are a dog rescue NGO. Last Thursday a call came from a girl from Naigaon. He told that a 24 year old youth has been raping a one and a half month old dog for three consecutive days in a chawl of Timri village near Naigaon.
The girl told that after seeing such disgusting behavior of the young man, she first complained about it to her mother. The boy’s mother supported her own son and said that he can do whatever he wants. I will free my son by calling him mentally challenged.

Jaya Bhattacharya further said- This incident happened last Thursday evening. On Friday, when we reached Naigaon police station to complain about this, we came to know that the boy had threatened the girl who had complained. That girl lives alone in Naigaon. The criminal boy threatened her that if she complained about this anywhere, he would treat her and her mother in the same manner. It will even poison all the 10 dogs she feeds.

We have lodged an FIR at Naigaon police station, but despite this the culprit has been let off. Right now we are waiting for the charge sheet. We are in no mood to leave him like this. It is not just about this puppy, but about all those silent creatures who are only a few months old, who cannot express their pain, who cannot defend themselves. I have brought the puppy to my home. My friend is a veterinary doctor, she is treating the puppy.
We demand justice and we want it as soon as possible, before the country is ruined. Today the society has become so distorted that it is not sparing even humans and animals. This distorted mentality has become unbearable now.
Supporting Jaya Bhattacharya, actress Shibani Dandekar said about the puppy that I would like to help find a safe and loving home for it.
