We Entering the new year with new hopes and possibilities. Everyone takes some resolutions in the new year. The aim is only one, to make life better. For example, students take a resolution to study with a better schedule. Those working in corporate take a resolution to get promotion by completing projects on time.

The question is how will this be possible? The direct answer to this is – “When our health is good.” If health is good then all other things in life will also be good.

so ‘medical certificate‘Today we have brought 6 health resolutions.

Expert: Dr. Amrita Mishra, Nutritionist and Dietetics, New Delhi

These are not resolutions that require a lot of hard work. We are not saying to get up at 5 in the morning and go for a run. We are also not saying that you should not taste Chole-Bhatura or Puris. All we are saying is that make the six things written below a part of your everyday life.

What are these 6 things, let us see –

1. Eat a plate of salad before lunch and dinner.

This resolution will not take any effort. Before eating food, cut one carrot, one radish, one cucumber and one tomato and eat it. No hassle of cooking, no hassle of saving. It’s a five minute job.

The good thing is that none of these things are expensive or rare. The price of half a kilo of carrots is less than a packet of chips.

After eating a plate of salad, you can eat whatever you want. Puri and Chole Bhature, chaat and samosa also.

What are the benefits of eating a plate of salad rich in fiber and vitamins before eating anything, see the graphic below –

2. Wherever there is a lift or elevator, use stairs only.

How much effort does it take to climb a few floors of stairs? Try this, then you will understand how easy the resolution is. This is easy to do if you don’t have too heavy luggage or aren’t sick.

According to the American Council on Exercise, climbing stairs burns 8 to 11 calories every minute. If you climb just 20 stairs every day, you can lose up to 4 kg of weight in a year without doing any exercise. It has many other benefits. See the graphic:

3. By bike, not by car, but by walking

Usually a vegetable or milk shop is not very far from home. Barely 500 to 1000 steps have to be taken. But even for such distances we take bikes and cars.

This year, take a small resolution that you will never take an auto, car or bike for a distance of a few kilometres, but will only go on foot. This is very easy to do. On this pretext, there will be morning and evening walks.

If you make this simple task a part of your everyday life, then there will be these 8 benefits –

  • Will help in weight management.
  • Heart health will improve.
  • Muscle strength will increase.
  • Bone health will be better.
  • Joint health will improve.
  • Mental health will improve.
  • Sleep quality will improve.
  • Blood sugar will remain under control.

According to a study published in the medicine journal ‘Springer’, if someone walks just 3800 steps every day, then his risk of developing dementia reduces by 25%. People who walk about 10,000 steps every day reduce their risk of dementia by 70%.

It has many more benefits, see the graphic:

4. If you feel hungry, do not buy packets of biscuits, chips or cakes and eat them.

This is a very small and easy resolution. We often open a packet of chips or biscuits when we feel hungry and eat them. Of course, one feels full after eating it and one also gets a lot of calories. But nothing is available in the name of nutrition.

Packaged foods also increase lifestyle and risk of chronic disease. Therefore always keep dry fruits or any seasonal fruit in your bag. Keep roasted peanuts or makhana. So that you don’t buy a packet of chips when you feel hungry. How much benefit will be gained by doing this, see in the graphic below:

5. If you feel thirsty, drink water, not cold drinks.

It has become a trend that if people are out of the house and are thirsty and their throat is dry, they immediately buy a cold drink and drink it. This is a bad habit. This only causes harm to health. By spending money we are inviting diseases.

Take a resolution this year that you will drink only water when you feel thirsty and always keep a water bottle with you. By doing this these things will happen –

  • Will provide relief from acidity, constipation and gas.
  • Will help in detoxifying the body.
  • The body will remain hydrated.
  • Skin will remain healthy and glowing.
  • There will be no insulin resistance.
  • Leptin hormone will increase and food intake will decrease.

6. From now on we will eat dinner before 7 o’clock

The last and easiest health resolution of this New Year is to eat dinner before 7 pm.

You don’t have to work very hard for this. We have dinner at 8-9 o’clock. Push that time a little and eat 1-2 hours earlier. You can’t even imagine what amazing benefits this small resolution will bring. See the graphic:

These 6 small resolutions can save you from many diseases and can bring a big change in your life.

The most important thing is that there is no need to put in any extra effort to do this.
