The Golden Globe Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the world, was held in California. Payal Kapadia’s film All We Imagine as Light was nominated from India in 2 categories at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, although the film missed out on winning this award.
The film All We Imagine as Light, directed by Payal Kapadia, was nominated in the categories of Best Film (Non-English) and Best Director. In the Best Film category, this film has been defeated by French film Emilia Perez. Director Brady Corbett has received the Golden Globe Award for Best Director for his film The Brutalist.

Payal is the first Indian filmmaker to be nominated for Best Director. His film All We Imagine Ad Light may have missed out on winning the Golden Globe, but the film has received the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in May this year. Apart from All We Imagine as Light, films like Emilia Perez, The Girl with the Needle, I’m Still Here, The Seed of the Sacred Fig and Vermiglow were also included in the Best Film (Non-English) category.

Payal Kapadia’s film is based on the life of a nurse. The name of the lead character who became a nurse in this film is Prabha. The story of the film revolves around his life. Prabha has been living separately from her husband for a long time. Suddenly one day she receives a gift given by her husband. From here his whole life changes and his whole life gets disturbed.
