Mumbai. Many films have been released at the box office on the occasion of Pongal, Lohri and Makar Sankranti. These include the first action thriller film Fateh made under the direction of Sonu Sood, Game Changer made under the direction of Shankar and Bobby Deol-Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daku Maharaj has been released. All three are Pan India films. Game Changer and Fateh were released on January 10, while ‘Daku Maharaj’ was released on January 12 and it also received mixed reviews from critics. However, its BGM and action sequences were praised.
Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Game Changer’ has collected Rs 17 crore on Sunday. According to the report of Sacknilk, the film has collected Rs 89.6 crore in the first weekend. However, ‘Game Changer’ earned Rs 51 crore in India on its opening day. On the second day the film had earned Rs 21.6 crore. The worldwide collection of ‘Game Changer’ on its opening day was Rs 186 crores.
At the same time, Sonu Sood, Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raj starrer ‘Fateh’ collected Rs 2.40 crore on the opening day. The makers had kept the ticket of the film at Rs 99 on the opening day. On the second day, the film collected Rs 2.10 crore. There was a decline in its collection on Sunday and it earned Rs 2 crore. In this way, Sonu’s Fateh collected Rs 6.50 crore on the first weekend.
Despite these two films being successful at the box office, another film ‘Daku Maharaj’ was released on 12 January. Nandamuri Balakrishna (NBK) is in the lead role in the film. His opposite is Urvashi Rautela. Since the release of the film, there was controversy regarding its song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’. Bobby Deol is the villain in the film. According to the report of SACNILC, this Pan India film has collected Rs 22 crores on the opening day.
