Balika Vadhu fame actress Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on 1 April 2016. In this case, her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide. Now in an interview, Rahul has told that when he met Pratyusha in the flat, he himself took her to the hospital in the hope of saving her. According to Rahul, he was breathing till he reached the hospital.
In a recent interview given to Tele Talk India, Rahul Raj Singh said, I know a little more than you because I have spent time with him. I have nothing to do with his suicide or instigating him to commit suicide. All this drama was of Kamya Punjabi, Aijaz Khan, because I was not present at that time. I was in the hospital for three and a half hours. I took him to the hospital. When his door opened there were many people. Its door was locked from inside, when I was trying to open the door, many people had come from nearby. Actor Anup Sachdev also lived there. I took him to the hospital because I wanted to save him.
Rahul further said, in my view, Ambani Hospital was the nearest. I somehow took him to the hospital. I lived in Oshiwara. People were saying that there is Siddharth Hospital nearby, but I did not know that at that time. I took him to Ambani Hospital, when you take someone like this, there too many formalities take 10-15 minutes. I was giving her mouth to mouth. She was alive only because her breathing had stopped. Somehow I admitted him to the hospital. I think if we could have taken her 5-10 minutes earlier, maybe she would have been alive and she would have realized her mistake.
Kamya Punjabi spread that she was murdered – Rahul
In the conversation, Rahul further said, Kamya Punjabi and Aijaz Khan spread the word that this is murder. The people who were there told me that these people came and started a drama that Pratyusha cannot commit suicide. This is murder. When she was hanging, there were so many people there, so did I commit murder? But the police did not file a murder case.
Kamya Punjabi misused Pratyusha- Rahul
In the conversation, Rahul has claimed that Kamya Punjabi misused Pratyusha. She used to drink alcohol at his expense. Rahul has also told that Pratyusha’s parents used to spend her earnings and took loans in her name. Many times she was abused by her parents, due to which she remained upset.
