2. Zomato shares fell by 11%: Impact of weak quarterly results, yesterday also the share fell by 7.27%.

After weak quarterly results, Zomato’s shares saw a decline of 10.92% today i.e. on January 21. Earlier yesterday also its shares had fallen by 7.27%.
According to the results released yesterday, the company’s profit declined by 57% on an annual basis to Rs 59 crore in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25. The company had made a profit of Rs 138 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

4. Three-wheel car Ejio for affordable cab service: Fare will be lower than normal cab, 200km range on full charge and 80Kmph top speed.

Indian startup Gensol EV has introduced Ezio, a three-wheeler electric car at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This car will be launched in the Indian market this year. The company has designed it for the commercial segment and this car will be sold only to cab service companies.
Ezio will be placed between Rapido and cab services. That means its fare will be more than Rapido and less than cab. The company claims that the car can travel 200Km on full charge and its top-speed is 80Kmph.

5. SEBI wants to stop gray market activity: Considering creating a pre-listing trading platform for IPO shares, chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch gave information.

Stock market regulator SEBI is considering launching a platform where investors can be allowed to trade in the shares of companies before the listing of the shares. Through this, the regulator wants to stop the gray market activity that occurs during the Initial Public Offer i.e. IPO.
SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch gave this information while speaking at an event of the Association of Investment Bankers of India in Mumbai. Butch said, “Informal trading takes place on a large scale between the time the shares are allotted and their trading begins.” If investors want to do this, then why not give them such an opportunity on the regulated platform itself.
