Late filmmaker Shyam Benegal said in the documentary ‘Angry Young Men’, which was based on the professional partnership of Salim-Javed. ‘The 1970s were a time when you needed heroes who could set things right, clean up the system. Salim-Javed found Amitabh Bachchan the right hero for their vision. Be it Trishul, Deewar, Zanjeer, or Shakti Vijay, these characters were called angry young men. But where did this anger come from?
