China launched first AI railway robot Xiaotie provide various services at Xian railway station

China has launched its first humanoid passenger service AI robot. This robot has been deployed at the railway station. It has been developed by Xi’an Bureau Group of Chinese Railways. It has now been officially put into operation at Xi’an Railway Station. It will provide many types of facilities to the passengers traveling to and from the station.

Xiaotie provides consultation, guidance and navigation services to travelers, making it a helpful companion for travelers. It also has a tablet on which it shows all the information about the question asked. It can also drop passengers at the station and reach their destination.

The robot has been deployed at the railway station from 8 am to 8 pm. It runs on battery and as soon as the battery starts getting low or is on the verge of exhaustion, it automatically reaches the charging station. In the future, there is a plan to install it at checking gates also so that it can also perform tasks like ticket checking of passengers.

The launch of AI robots like Xiaotie shows that China is making rapid progress in artificial intelligence. Xiaotie is currently the only humanoid robot providing passenger service within the railway system. But this indicates a major revolution in technology.
