The actress shared some black-and-white pictures of Dilip Kumar and throwback clips from his popular films on Instagram. He also wrote an emotional note along with the post, in which he said that the late actor strongly believed in fulfilling his responsibilities and he always kept the right to equality above all.
Saira Banu wrote, ‘I have always believed that the strength of a nation lies in its diversity, but it is balanced by only one thing and that is equality. This is not only my belief, but it was close to the heart of my ‘Sahib’. He often said that in India the huge gap between us in language, culture and beliefs can be bridged. The real essence of a nation is to treat everyone equally despite huge differences. This was the basis of his life and work and it is a rule that I will always cherish.
