Usually, a few minutes before waking up from sleep, we are in the last stage of the sleep cycle. This is called Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep.
REM is the stage of sleep in which most dreams occur. While dreaming, our eyes are moving behind the eyelids. This is a stage of about 90 minutes. At this time your brain is very active. As much as it is when you are awake.
This phase of sleep is disrupted by more than one alarm. This can have a negative impact on the brain’s ability to function.

Sleeping late is the reason for waking up late
Our sleep cycle is disturbed because we stay awake till late at night. This habit may seem normal but it can have many negative effects on health.
People who sleep late also have a natural habit of waking up late in the morning. That is why they need to set multiple alarms. Due to this, such people get late in every task in the morning.
There can be many reasons behind staying awake till late night. Such as-
- put off your work until later at night
- Lack of nutrients in day and night diet
- Consuming too much caffeine throughout the day
- being stressed about something
- Excessive smoking and alcohol consumption
In a study published in the Canadian Journal of Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention, researchers found that people who sleep late are more likely to suffer from laziness and physical weakness than others, which can have a very negative impact on their health.

Set a standard bedtime
According to Dr. Kathy Goldstein, a sleep medicine physician at the Michigan Medicine Sleep Disorders Center, it is also important to wake up and go to bed at approximately the same time every day. By doing this, you will wake up with just one alarm. Once this becomes a habit, you will not even need an alarm.
In such a situation, use such an alarm clock that you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Also, monitor your sleeping habits.
