The Jawa 42 has been updated for 2024, priced between Rs 1.73 lakh and Rs 1.98 lakh (both, ex-showroom, Delhi). It features engine changes, minor styling changes and new seats. The starting price is Rs 16,000 more affordable than before.
The engine has been upgraded in the new Jawa. Jawa 42 is available in 14 colour options which include both matte and gloss options. These include six new colours – Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue and Celestial Copper Matt.
Engine: 294cc liquid-cooled engine and smooth gear shift
The new 294cc liquid-cooled engine of Jawa 42 generates 27.32hp power and 26.84Nm torque. Jawa 42 has a slip and assist clutch. It includes gear-based throttle mapping for smooth gear shifts.
Comfort: The company has added a new seat for better comfort
The company has also added redesigned balancer weights and a new hub-type balancer gear to reduce vibrations. Jawa has also changed the mounting point for the rear shocks and added a new seat for better comfort.
Visual changes: Jawa 42 looks the same except for the seats
Visually, the updated Jawa 42 is almost the same except for the new seat. Its seat height is 788mm. The base variant gets single-channel ABS, spoke wheels and an analog LCD setup. The top-variant gets a digital LCD unit.
