We are talking about the star Satish Kaul, who is called Amitabh Bachchan of Punjabi industry, who has worked in more than 300 films in his film career.

Perhaps only someone knows how the journey of this actor who became a hero from zero ended in helplessness. Born on 8 September 1946 in the valleys of Kashmir, this young man wanted to become an actor since childhood. This desire brought him to the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, from where the actor started his film journey. He struggled a lot to achieve a position and his struggle brought him to the Punjabi film industry. His father Mohanlal was a Kashmiri music composer who was also the director of Mumbai Doordarshan.

This Punjabi actor also dreamt of going to Bollywood, which was fulfilled by producer Shivkumar. He made his Bollywood debut with the film Ang Se Ang Lagale (1974).

But this actor could not do much in the Hindi film industry, but his magic was very popular in the Punjabi film industry. He has given many superhit Punjabi films in his career. It would not be wrong to say that he gave a new identity to the Punjabi film industry. His desire to work in Bollywood increased, after which he got a chance to work in the film Karma (1986) directed by Subhash Ghai. In this, he shared the screen with big actors like Dilip Kumar.

Satish Kaul also appeared in some memorable serials on television, which include shows like BR Chopra’s Mahabharat and Vikram Betaal. After achieving such a great height, Satish Kaul started being called the Amitabh Bachchan of Punjabi cinema, but it is said that no one can stay at the top forever, the same happened with Satish. He could not do anything special in Bollywood. According to the IANS report, when he could not succeed in Bollywood, he started signing B grade films. Due to which, by the 90s, this actor’s career ended.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said in an interview that the first film he saw was shot by Satish Kaul. Only after this, he decided to get into acting. Like everyone else, the actor also tried to start a family, but he got divorced after one year of marriage. After this, he started living a life of helplessness and loneliness. The real struggle of his life then began. He spent all his savings in the treatment of his father’s cancer, but despite that he could not save him. His mother could not bear the shock of his father’s death and she also passed away.

Satish Kaul did not lose courage even after seeing so much struggle. He started an acting school in Punjab, but here too fate had something else in store for him. He got injured, due to which he had to spend a lot of time in the hospital. This actor, who has worked in more than 300 films, became penniless in the last days of his life. In the last days of his life, this actor sought help from many film stars, but the only helping hand in Bollywood was that of Jackie Shroff. The actor spent the last days of his life in Swami Vivekananda Vridha Ashram in Ludhiana, where he died on 10 April 2021. In a Punjabi TV interview, Satish Kaul spoke openly about his life and said that he is now completely helpless. His successful films in the Punjabi film industry include Sassi Punnu (1983), Patola (1987) and Mission 2017 Halla Ho (2017).
