After the release of Hema Committee report, many prominent actresses from Malayalam film industry have been openly talking about cases of sexual harassment that happened to them.
Meanwhile, actresses Geetha Vijayan and Sridevika have also accused director Tulsidas of sexual harassment during the shooting of the film.
Tulsidas made his directorial debut in 1988. His last film was released in 2016.
Exploitation was done in 1991
Actress Geetha said that the director exploited her during the shooting of the film ‘Chantchattam’ in 1991.
According to the actress, the director repeatedly knocked on her hotel door. When Geeta protested, the director, in order to take revenge, refused to explain the scene to her on the film set.

Similarly, actress Sridevika has also accused director Tulsidas of knocking on her hotel door late at night. She said that Tulsidas harassed her a lot during the shooting of the film ‘Avan Chandiyude Makan’ released in 2006. He used to ask for her room number from the hotel reception and knock on her door every day late at night.
The actress had complained to AMMA
When Sridevika’s mother told this to the actor, they changed their rooms. After this, the director angrily cut the actress’ scenes and dialogues from the film.
Later Sridevika complained about this to AMMA but no action was taken against the director.
At the same time, actress Sridevika has said that the director had harassed her during the shooting of a film released in 2006.
The director said – the atmosphere on the set was pleasant
Denying these allegations, Tulsidas said in an interview, ‘Nothing like this happened during the shooting of the film. Everyone was in a happy mood. I know very well why she is making such allegations against me.’
Actress Meenu also accused four co-actors
On Monday, actor Meenu Munir also accused actors like Mukesh, Maniyampilla Raju, Edavela Babu and Jayasurya of sexual abuse. Referring to this case of the year 2013, she claimed that some production controllers were also involved in it.
