Director Sunil Darshan recently told during an interview that Akshay Kumar was the hero in the film ‘Barsaat’. He had also started shooting, but then something happened in his family, after which Akshay Kumar was forced to step away from the film. Actually, when rumors of Akshay Kumar’s affair with Priyanka Chopra were rife, Twinkle Khanna got angry and left the house.
Left the film five days before shooting
In an interview given to YouTube channel Friday Talkies, Sunil Darshan said, ‘Akshay Kumar was the hero of the film Barsaat. At the very beginning of the film, he faced some strange problem with his wife. The shooting of Barsaat had started with Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. The film was to be shot in the same schedule and five days before the schedule started, Akshay Kumar called me and asked me to meet. I had an inkling that something was wrong. When I was going to meet Akshay, Bobby Deol’s manager called me and asked me to make a film with him. I told him that it is okay, if anything happens I will definitely tell.
