New Delhi. A big news is coming out regarding the death of a fan at the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’. Our partner website CNN-News18 has learned that Telangana Police officers can now approach the Supreme Court to challenge the interim bail granted to Allu Arjun in this case.
Allu Arjun was arrested in the case of the death of a woman during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on 13 December 2024. During the premiere of the film on December 4, a huge crowd had gathered at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad after the sudden arrival of Allu Arjun and music director Devi Sri Prasad. During this stampede, the main gate of the theater collapsed, causing chaos. In this accident, a 35 year old woman died and her 9 year old son was seriously injured.

In this case, on Friday (December 13), ‘Pushpabhau’ i.e. Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad Police from his house. After his arrest, the police presented him in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. However, after this the actor filed a bail petition in the High Court with the help of his lawyer. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. However, due to delay in paperwork, he had to spend a night in jail and was released early on Saturday (December 14) morning.

After the release, Allu Arjun described the incident as ‘very unfortunate’. The Telugu superstar had said in a statement, ‘I thank everyone, this incident was very unfortunate, we are extremely sorry for whatever happened, our thoughts are with the family, this should not have happened to anyone. ‘I am ready to support the family in every way, I am grateful to everyone.’
Later, in another statement, the actor revealed why he did not meet the stampede victim after the tragedy and clarified that his legal team had forbidden him from meeting the family at this time. The actor had said that I am deeply concerned about young Mr Tej, who is under constant medical care after this unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have not been advised to meet him and his family at this time. My prayers are with them and I am committed to taking up the responsibility of meeting their medical and family needs. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope to meet him and his family as soon as possible.
