New Delhi: Actor Allu Arjun presented his side in the Hyderabad stampede case on Saturday, December 21 and also rejected the allegations made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said that the accident in which a woman died and her son got injured during the premiere of the film ‘Pushpa 2’ on December 4 in a theater in Hyderabad is sad.
Revanth Reddy had criticized the actor for holding a road show and waving to the crowd in the theatre, hours after which the actor refuted the allegations and said that it was not a procession or a road show. He said in the press conference, ‘A lot of misinformation is being spread that I behaved in a certain way. These are wrong allegations. This is insulting and character assassination. A lot of misinformation is being spread, a lot of false allegations are being made.
Allu Arjun held responsible for the stampede
Calling the woman’s death an accident, Allu Arjun said that he is not blaming anyone as it is an unfortunate incident. On December 4, a 35-year-old woman was killed and her eight-year-old son was admitted to the hospital during a stampede-like situation at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. After the incident, based on the complaint lodged by the family of the deceased woman, the police had registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theater management under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) at Chikkadpally police station.
Allu Arjun is on interim bail for 4 weeks
Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad Police on December 13 in connection with the woman’s death. The Telangana High Court granted him interim bail of four weeks the same day and he was released from jail on the morning of 14 December. The superstar also gave an update about the injured child. He said, ‘I am getting updates every hour about how the child’s health is. They are recovering. The only good thing is that the boy is getting better. My best effort is to entertain the audience. I want people to return with a smile.
