Amidst the controversy over ‘Emergency’, Kangana Ranaut’s special appeal to the censor board – ‘Take responsibility for the release’

New DelhiKangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ is based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, some of its content has been objected to by a community, due to which the film could not be released on time. She is waiting for the release of the film ‘Emergency’. The actress has now pinned her hopes on the censor board and said that they should take responsibility for its release.

Kangana Ranaut expressed disappointment over the industry’s silence on the film ‘Emergency’ in an episode of ‘The Bombay Journey with Mashable India’. She said, ‘I made the film, but I did not get any support from the film industry. I have produced the film along with other producers. Everyone will be harmed by the delay in release. I think the censor board should take responsibility to release this film as soon as possible.’

Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade were praised
Kangana praised Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade. The actress compared both the stars to the rest of the film industry and said that they are toxic. ‘These people are absolutely toxic. But look at Anupam ji, Shreyas. If you call him, he will come politely. I have praised the films which were praiseworthy, no matter whose they are.’

Kangana Ranaut has directed ‘Emergency’
Kangana Ranaut has not only acted in ‘Emergency’ but has also directed it. She will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary and Shreyas Talpade among others. Shreyas Talpade plays the role of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, while Anupam Kher plays the role of leader Jayaprakash Narayan. Late Satish Kaushik will also be seen as former Deputy Prime Minister Jagjivan Ram.
