Earlier, on January 3, Amitabh Bachchan remembered those great personalities whom the country has lost in the year 2024. This list includes entrepreneur Ratan Tata, tabla player Zakir Hussain, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal.
Tribute paid on the death of veterans
Amitabh Bachchan paid his tribute by posting a cartoon drawn by Satish Acharya. He wrote in the caption, ‘The picture tells everything. In 2024, a Parsi, a Muslim, a Sikh and a Hindu personality passed away and the entire country is remembering them. On December 26, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh died at the age of 92. Earlier on December 23, famous filmmaker Shyam Benegal died due to chronic kidney disease.
Ratan Tata died in October
Ratan Tata, former chairman of the Tata Group and Indian industrialist, died in October 2024 at the age of 86. Another important loss was in the form of world famous tabla player Zakir Hussain, who said goodbye to the world at the age of 73.

Talking about work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the film ‘Vettaiyan’. In this he shared the screen with superstar Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati. However, this movie did not do well at the box office and proved to be a flop. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan was seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which earned more than Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
