New Delhi. Amrit Ratna 2024: The special program ‘Amrit Ratna’ Honor 2024 of the country’s number one news channel News18 India has been organized again. The purpose of Amrit Ratna is to honor those Indians who have brought glory to India all over the world. Country’s Amrit Ratna musician Puranchand Wadali participated on this stage with his son Lakhwinder Wadali. On this platform he talked about leaving wrestling and turning to music. Along with this, Puran Chand Wadali enthralled the audience with his Punjabi song ‘Tu Mane Ya Na Mane Asa To Tenu Rab Manya’.
Puranchand Wadali, while talking to News18 India anchor Prateek Trivedi, said that he chose the path of music due to the fear of his father. He started out of fear of his father and within no time he moved ahead on this path. Puranchand Wadali learned music out of fear of his father and then out of fear of his own, he taught music to his son Lakhwinder Wadali.
Lakhwinder wanted to play cricket
Talking about his musical journey, Lakhwinder Wadali says that in his childhood, his interest was not in music but in cricket. Sharing an anecdote, he says that once his father asked him to memorize musical notes and went for a 5-day program.
I was angry at my son
Lakhwinder Wadali thought that there was a long time for his father to arrive and he left his music homework and went to play cricket, but it happened that his father’s program got canceled and he returned midway. When he came back and asked Lakhwinder about his music homework, he became very angry at his son for not remembering the notes.
Son’s cricket kit was burnt
In anger, Puran Chand Wadali had put the cricket kit of his son Lakhwinder in the tandoor. After burning his son’s cricket kit, he explained that he should concentrate on music instead of wasting his time in cricket.
