Recently, while attending an event, the actress talked about the Me Too movement and said that it had a deep impact on her and as an actress, she sometimes feels very helpless.
The ‘Student of the Year’ fame actress said that she gets advice from people in the industry not to be too political and she is also told which issues she should speak on and which she should not. Ananya Pandey believes that she gets influenced by people’s words very quickly.
While attending the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, she also talked about the Me Too movement in the industry. She said that despite the instructions not to express her opinion on any sensitive issue while being in the film industry, she tries her best to choose films while following her ideals.
The issue of women empowerment has been raised in ‘Call Me Bay’
Amazon Prime’s web series ‘Call Me Bay’ talks about women struggling with the Me Too movement. Talking about this, she says, ‘I don’t want to give you spoilers, but ‘Call Me Bay’ deals with women empowerment to a great extent. This is an issue about which I could not speak for many reasons, but I want to do something through my films.’
