Google is going to introduce Android 16 soon. Currently Android 16 is in developer preview stage. Exactly a month ago, Google released the second developer preview of the new operating system. There is a feature inside its code that may be better for tablet and large screen users. Here we are telling you in detail about Android 16.

According to a report by Android Authority Accordingthe new developer preview of the operating system includes a multitasking system based on OnePlus’ Open Canvas. This would be a big upgrade for large-screen devices and foldables, as OnePlus’ Open Canvas is widely considered to be the best multitasking tool and best suited for split-screen functionality.

Android 16 can allow users to open three apps simultaneously on the tablet. In OnePlus’ system, two apps take up 90 percent of the screen, while a third app occupies the remaining 10 percent. A simple tap on the small window brings it into focus, allowing the layout to change easily. It looks like Google is testing a similar feature in Android 16.

The code seen in Android 16 DP2 reveals an in-development flexibility split-screen mode. Mishaal Rahman of Android Authority managed to use this feature on his Pixel devices. However, they have clarified that it is not ready yet and currently does not split apps properly.

Google is still testing this feature and it is not clear whether this file will be ready for the Android 16 release or not. If completed on time it can be offered on all Android phones and tablets. Companies like Samsung can use these features especially for their book style foldables. Android 16 may reach platform stability in the first half of this year and its final release at the end of the year. If this feature is finalized then users can get it through manufacturer update.
