American devices maker Apple has been accused of suppressing its workers and illegally monitoring them. In a legal case filed regarding this, it has been said that such a privacy policy is implemented by the company which bans the workers from discussing the working conditions.

This case has been filed in the California court in America by Amar Bhakta, who works in the digital advertising division of the company. It is claimed that Apple Workers are forced to install software on their personal devices that allows the company to access their emails, photo libraries and other personal information. Bhakta, who has worked at Apple for the past four years, says he was prevented from discussing his work on the podcast. Additionally, he was instructed to remove information about work conditions from his LinkedIn profile.

In this regard, a statement issued by an Apple spokesperson said that the claims made in this legal case are not true and that the company’s workers are given annual training on their rights to discuss their working conditions. Recently, Apple laid off about 100 workers from its Digital Services Group. This included the Apple Books app and Apple Bookstore teams, in addition to some engineering workers.
