Arjun Kapoor recently shared a funny incident related to his debut film ‘Ishaqzaade’. Parineeti Chopra was seen in the lead role along with the actor in the film. However, Arjun was not happy with his casting. The actor said- Parineeti seemed to me to be a talkative girl, hence I did not want her to be cast.

Arjun Kapoor said in a conversation with Mashable India – When Parineeti was cast for the film, I was not at all happy. I was against her casting because she talked too much and her reading was also bad.
Arjun further said- As soon as Parineeti came, I told a joke. But instead of laughing at it, Parineeti said like Gen-Z people – LOL, I wondered if she couldn’t just laugh at this. This is not a chat or I said LOL. So since then she started finding me irritating.

Arjun further told that Parineeti used to talk in emojis on chat, she used to use a lot of emojis like Gen-ji while messaging. Because of which I started feeling that he was not serious.
Arjun said jokingly – ‘I was waiting for 6 months to meet Zoya (name of Parineeti’s character in Ishaqzaade) of my film, but Zoya came on the set and was saying LOL-LOL. I thought my career was over. This girl is not interested in the film.
I had also judged Parineeti’s acting. I thought that she has just arrived, earlier she used to work in Yash Raj Films, then after getting a movie with Ranveer Singh, she is considering herself a big star.

Arjun Kapoor said- I was shocked when the mock shoot happened. Seeing Parineeti’s skills, I had forgotten the lines and acting I had memorized for months. When the shoot started, I saw a sparkle in Parineeti’s eyes. Then I thought she would do it.
