Bajaj Auto’s exports have declined last month. In June, the company exported 1,26,439 units. In the same month last year, the company’s exports were 1,27,357 units. Pulsar and Dominar motorcycles have a major share in Bajaj Auto’s sales. It has increased its presence in South America by setting up a new factory in Brazil. The company’s new factory will assemble and test Dominar motorcycles. Its annual capacity will be to manufacture around 20,000 units in a single shift.
The company’s presence has expanded to 100 countries. It sells its motorcycles and other vehicles in these countries. Bajaj Auto’s CNG motorcycle will be launched on July 5. It can have two fuel tanks for CNG and petrol. This can bring a big change in the motorcycle market. Its running cost will be about 50 percent less than petrol-powered motorcycles. The company has a large market share in the CNG three-wheelers. This motorcycle will be in the 100-150 cc segment. Its motor will be compatible to run on both types of fuel. However, its price may be higher than petrol-powered motorcycles. The reason for this is the increase in its manufacturing cost.
This year, the company can also launch a 400 cc single cylinder Pulsar. Bajaj Auto’s Chetak electric scooter is also getting a good response from customers. Recently a new variant of the Chetak electric scooter has been launched. It is being called Chetak 2901. Its price is Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom). It has been made available in White, Lime Yellow, Azure Blue, Red and Black colors. Its ARAI range is more than 120 kilometers. Customers who buy it will also have the option to upgrade its features from TecPac. Features like hill hold and economy modes are available from TecPac.
