2. Hyundai Creta EV launched, starting price ₹ 17.99 lakh: Range of 473km in full charge, 52 safety features will be available as standard; Competing with Maruti e-Vitara

Hyundai Motor India today (January 17) launched its mid-size electric SUV Creta EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the cheapest EV of the company. Its price goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh in the top variant.

The company claims that the Creta EV will run up to 473km on a full charge and it can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. Apart from this, it will get more than 70 safety features including Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

3. Maruti’s first electric car e-Vitara revealed: 500+ km range with all wheel drive option, level-2 ADAS safety features will also be available.

Maruti Suzuki has revealed its first electric car e-Vitara at the India Global Mobility Expo-2025. This car has been introduced with two battery pack options. It has 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack. The company claims that the car will run more than 500 kilometers on a single full charge.

This electric SUV will be produced at the plant of Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited from February 2025. It is expected to be available for sale in Europe, Japan and India by June. The company may reveal the price of e-Vitara in March.
