He was born in a Pathan family in Bangalore on 25 September 1939. His father was of Afghan origin and mother of Iranian origin. He moved to Mumbai to make a name for himself in the world of acting and in a very short time he made a good name for himself on the 70 mm screen there. He made his acting debut with the 1959 film ‘Didi’. This actor, who always wanted to be a style icon, soon fulfilled his wish. At that time, there was no one to compete with him, whether it was about acting skills or looks, he had no competition.

After a few years of marriage, they had two children, Fardeen and Laila Khan. But after getting married, he had an extramarital affair with air hostess Jyotika. There was a ruckus over this, after which Sundari left the house and decided to live separately. After this, Firoz Khan also started living in a live-in relationship with Jyotika.
