BSNL Warns Users of Fake Website Impersonating Comapny Heres All Details

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has issued a public alert about a fraudulent website falsely claiming to be affiliated with the company. BSNL clarified that the website is fake and urged users to exercise caution while interacting online. Users are advised to avoid clicking on unverified links and always verify the authenticity of websites before sharing any personal or financial details. A few days ago, BSNL announced to extend the validity of some of its plans by 425 days. No other telecom company in India is offering such plans which offer a long validity of 425 days.

BSNL has issued a public alert through a post on X. The company said that a website is imitating BSNL, which may be related to fraud. In this tweet from the official account of BSNL, the company said that the website https://bsnl5gtower.com is fake and is not related to the telecom operator under the state government.

BSNL wrote in the tweet, “This website is fake and is not associated with BSNL. Please be careful, as this does not belong to BSNL.” BSNL also stressed the importance of verifying information from official sources to avoid potential scams or data breaches.

The purpose of such fake websites is often to deceive users by imitating official platforms, potentially stealing sensitive information or engaging in financial fraud.
