Byd launches Sealion 7 Electric SUV Launched in India, Range of More Than 560 km, Know Features, Pris, Tesla

Chinese Electric Vehicle (EV) Maker byd has launched Sealion 7 Electric SUV in India on Monday. It will be available in two variants – Premium RWD and Performance AWD. Its price is between about Rs 48.90 lakh to Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently booking for Sealion 7 was started for Rs 70,000. The company has received more than 1,000 bookings for this.

The design of this electric SUV is similar to the company’s ‘Ocean Series’. Its cabin is with black theme. Sealion 7 has a 15.6 inch rotable infotainment system and a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster. It has features such as crystal gear selector and driver monitoring system. The front bumper of this electric SUV has air vents for cooling of battery pack.

Sealion 7 has started reaching the company’s dealerships. Byd also plans to launch Sealion 6 in the country. It is a plug-in hybrid car. Its front design is almost the same for the company’s Seal sedan. Sealion 7 has features such as automatic climate control, 12-speaker audio system and panoramic sunroof. The portfolio of Byd in the country includes ATTO3, E Max 7 and Seal.

The battery of Sealion 7 is 82.56 kwh. Its AWD variant has 523 HP power and 690 Nm peak torque. The RWD variant of Sealion 7 has a single electric motor that generates 308 HP power and 380 Nm peak torque. The company claims that the AWD variant of this electric SUV can give a range of about 542 km and RWD variant about 567 km in single charge. Last year byd has set a record of sales. The company had sales of about 42.5 lakh units. Recently, the head of the company’s unit in the country, Rajeev Chauhan, the head of the business, said that the company is planned to start manufacturing when all the situations are in favor. However, earlier, the Central Government had not approved the proposal of setting up EV and battery manufacturing unit with an investment of about one billion dollars in the country in association with a Hyderabad company.
