The trend continued on Thursday (March 13), when the film grossed more than 4 crores. Now, the film is moving towards breaking the record of Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandana’s film ‘Chhava’ is making a splash at the box office. Indian Axpress quoted Caikanilk as saying, the film ‘Chhava’ earned Rs 4.5 crore on 28th day i.e. Thursday 13 March. With this, the domestic earnings of the film have been Rs 539.5 crore. However, there has been a slight decline in earnings compared to Wednesday. On Wednesday, the film earned Rs 4.8 crore. If ‘Chhawa’ continues to earn at this speed, then soon it will break the record of ‘Pathan’. ‘Pathan’ earned a total of Rs 543.09 crore at the box office.
The worldwide ‘Chhava’
Chhava recorded a net collection of Rs 4.5 crore in India on Thursday 13 March, causing its domestic total earning to Rs 539.5 crore. However, it also shows a decline of 6.25 percent as compared to Rs 4.8 crore on Wednesday 12 March. While the Hindi version contributed Rs 3.75 crore to the total figure of Thursday, the Telugu version added Rs 75 lakh. With this, the film’s global gross collection has reached Rs 731 crore.
‘Animal’ records can break ‘Chhawa’
If the chhava continues to earn at this speed, then its domestic earnings will reach the 550 crore rupees in the weekend. As a result, the film will get ninth position in the list of highest -grossing Indian films in the domestic net collection. After leaving ‘Pathan’ behind, if the ‘Chhava’ maintains its own momentum, then it will be defeated by Ranbir Kapoor and Rashika Mandana-Starr ‘Animal’ to eighth place, which earned Rs 553.87 crore.
