Easy Trip Planners recently issued 12.84 crore fully-paid equity shares worth Rs 234.03 crore. The price of these shares was fixed at Rs 18.22 per share. Jacqueline Fernandes’s name has also been added to this new investment, who acquired 27.44 lakh shares, which is 0.07 percent of the total shares of the company. The total value of Jacqueline’s shares is around Rs 4.97 crore.
The company has also appointed Jacqueline as brand ambassador. EaseMyTrip co-founder Rikant Pitti says that with the addition of Jacqueline, the company will be able to reach out to more people and inspire people to travel. Jacqueline said, “Travel has been an important part of my life. I am very excited to join EaseMyTrip.”
Future Plan of EaseMyTrip
The company had recently issued 1:1 bonus shares. With this, each shareholder was given one additional share for every share he held. This was the third bonus issue of EaseMyTrip. Before this, bonus shares were also given in February 2022 and November 2022.
However, in the second quarter of FY 2025, the company’s net profit declined by 45.17 percent to Rs 25.87 crore. Despite this, operational revenue increased by 2.1 percent to Rs 144.67 crore.
As part of its expansion plans, the company has signed agreements to purchase 49, 50, and 49 percent stake in Flagship Home Health Care Centre, Jeevan Hospitality, and Planet Education Australia, respectively. These deals will be done through share swap, which will expand the business of the company.
Jacqueline’s upcoming projects
Jacqueline will soon be seen in the film “Fateh”, which is based on the increasing threat of cyber crime. This film is the directorial debut of Sonu Sood and it also stars Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah in important roles. This film will be released on 10 January 2025.
Apart from this, Jacqueline will also be seen in “Housefull 5”, which is the fifth part of the comedy franchise. This film will star Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Ritesh Deshmukh and other actors. This film is going to be released on 6 June 2025.
