CMF Phone 1 could get Removable Back Plate, Customization Options

The first smartphone of CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, which started its business in the smartphone market a few years ago, will be launched in the country next month. CMF Phone 1 may have a removable back plate. It will have a screw-like design element at the rear, which can increase customization options.

CMF has launched the social media platform X Post Nothing has shared a short video of CMF Phone 1. In this, the screw in the rear of this smartphone is being opened with the given screwdriver. This screwdriver can also be used as a SIM injector tool. This indicates a removable back plate. This can increase customization in this smartphone. There may also be an option to replace the back plate in it. This option was available in older mobile phones and it is also in PlayStation 5. In a separate video posted by Nothing, a community member has said in response to CMF Phone 1 that users can also get the facility to 3D print the back plate of this smartphone.

However, it is not clear whether this removable back plate will be only for appearance or it will also provide access to the battery and components of the smartphone. CMF Phone 1 may have a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It may have a 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit and a 50-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. This smartphone may have MediaTek Dimensity 7300 as a processor. It may have two storage variants of 128 GB and 256 GB. This smartphone may have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging.

CMF’s Watch Pro 2 can also be launched this year. It will replace the CMF Watch Pro introduced in September last year. CMF has not given information about this smartwatch. However, some reports indicate its launch soon. It may have upgrades compared to CMF Watch Pro. A smartwatch has been seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with model number D398. This could be the CMF Watch Pro 2. Not much information has been found about this smartwatch.
