British rock band Coldplay is coming to India in January 2025 for the ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour. The booking window for the show opened on Sunday, however, due to the Coldplay craze in India and the rush to book tickets, the Book My Show app crashed. When the ticket window opened again, the app had a traffic of 1 million users. Seeing the craze of concerts in India, the Coldplay band has now announced to perform in India for 3 days instead of two days.
Coldplay band’s concert is going to be held on 19-20 January 2025 at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Booking for the show started on Book My Show app at 12 noon on Sunday. There was such a rush to book tickets that the Book My Show site crashed. Many users complained about the problems in ticket booking on social media.
After some time, when the site reopened, the user traffic was still close to 10 lakh. In such a situation, to prevent the app from crashing, the Book My Show app announced that users will be able to book tickets through the line system, but a user will be able to book a maximum of 4 tickets at a time, whereas earlier this limit was 8 tickets.
After seeing such craze of fans in India, the band Coldplay announced on Sunday that they will perform in India for 3 days instead of 2. The dates for this were fixed as 19-20 and 21 January.

The new dates have been announced from Coldplay’s official Instagram account. The post reads, “The third show in Mumbai has been added. The new date has been added due to the unprecedented demand.”
The ticket window for the 21 January 2025 concert opened on Sunday, September 22 at 2 pm, when the app had a traffic of 14 lakh users. Due to the rush for tickets, many fans could not book tickets for the show, for which many memes are being circulated on social media.
