Apart from the timely shows, genre shows like poetry and rap have also been included in the app. It will also include India’s poetry show, ‘Kavya Samrat’ and YouTuber Rohan Cariappa’s rap show.
Samay Raina did not want to come on OTT at first. It is said that a big streaming platform had asked him to associate his show with them. Samay had said that no one else gives him freedom like YouTube. He is also a fan of YouTube membership, which has opened up a new avenue of earning for creators. Raina has said that the content on the app will not be as per brand guidelines, which will give more freedom to content creators.
There have been 12 episodes of India’s Got Latent so far. Many guests like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Badshah, Rakhi Sawant, Vipul Goyal, Urfi Javed have appeared in it. The show has gained immense popularity on YouTube and the average views per episode is 25 million. Raina’s own subscribers are around 6.7 million. Branding of many brands is also seen in his show.
What makes India’s Got Latent special is its scoring format. The contestants participating in it showcase their talent in front of a panel of judges. Still rate your own performance. If their ratings match the judges’ ratings, they win all of the show’s earnings.
