Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma had called the box office numbers of Ram Charan starrer film ‘Game Changer’ as fake. To understand the box office collection figures, Dainik Bhaskar spoke to trade expert Aamir Ansari. According to him the film has become a disaster. So far the film has earned only Rs 155 crore worldwide, while the budget of the film is Rs 450 crore.
Trade expert Aamir Ansari said- After the disaster of Indian 2, the credibility of the film’s director Shankar has taken a hit. There was a lot of pressure on actor Ram Charan regarding the film ‘Game Changer’. It was expected that the film would earn Rs 150 crore on the first day, as Jr NTR’s film ‘Devra Part One’ had earned Rs 172 crore on the first day.
Ram Charan and Junior NTR had worked together in ‘RRR’. Junior NTR is the solo hero in ‘Devra Part One’ and Ram Charan is the solo hero in ‘Game Changer’. Social media users are also alleging that the opening collection of ‘Devra’ was said to be Rs 172 crore, that is why the makers of Ram Charan’s film, to show it further, said the collection of ‘Game Changer’ was Rs 186 crore.
The audience rejected the film
According to Aamir Ansari, advance booking of Hindi territory was very bad. The first day’s box office collection was not going to reach even Rs 2 crore. The team of Game Changer resorted to corporate booking. Some people praised the film, but the common people did not like the film at all.
The film earned only Rs 80 crore on the first day
The first day earning of the film ‘Game Changer’ was only 80 crores. In which, despite corporate booking in Hindi, it earned Rs 7.50 crore. The Telugu version earned Rs 42 crores, the Tamil version earned Rs 2.2 crores and the Kannada version earned nothing. The film has not been released in Malayalam. In the name of Pan India, the film earned Rs 51 crore in India, which makes its gross income Rs 62 crore. The film was able to earn only Rs 18 crore in overseas.
Till now the worldwide earning of the film has been Rs 155 crore.
On Saturday, the makers of ‘Game Changer’ shared a poster and announced that the film has collected Rs 186 crore worldwide gross on the first day. This shocked everyone. Trade expert Aamir Ansari said- Today there is such a facility on social media through which every common man can check how much a film’s collection has been. The first day’s earning was only Rs 80 crore. On the second day the film made only 28 crores, on the third day it made 21 crores, on the fourth day it was 11 crores and on the fifth day the business of the film was 15 crores in all the languages together. Till now the worldwide earning has been only Rs 155 crore.
Questions are being raised on these films too
According to Aamir Ansari, the fake data of ‘Game Changer’ has brought shame to the Tamil film industry. Because of this film, questions are being raised on the box office collection of Baahubali, RRR, Pushpa.
Ram Gopal Varma also called box office collection fake
Film maker Ram Gopal Varma has also termed the box office figures of Game Changer as fake. While sharing the post on social media, he has written – If 450 crores have been spent in making Game Changer, then the cost of RRR should have been 4500 crores and if the first day collection of Game Changer film is 186 crores then the collection of Pushpa 2 should have been 1,860 crores. Should have happened. The collection of the film looks completely fake.
