Recently Akhilendra Mishra said that character actors are financially exploited in the Bollywood industry. They don’t get paid well. The actor says that any producer wants to pay money only to the star.

Hindustan Times In an interview, Akhilendra Mishra said, ‘Every producer wants to give less money, no one cares. Now corporate culture has come and they are discussing salaries. They are new people, who don’t even know about your work. They don’t even know who is who. They just pick up the phone, make a call and negotiate the fees.

Only stars have money in the industry
Akhilendra Mishra further said, ‘In this industry only the stars have money and no one else. Producers are paying money only to him. Even today, if character artists are admitted to the hospital, they do not even have money for medicines, they have to collect money. Many musicians, art directors and even actors die in obscurity. They die in anonymity and poverty and are not even detected. Only stars and producers earn money and no one else does.
