Mumbai. Sanoj Mishra, director of ‘The Diary of West Bengal’, went missing in Kolkata. He has now been found. He was seen in a disheveled state at a ghat in Banaras. After which his wife Dvati Mishra and Lucknow police brought him. Sanoj told the entire incident from his disappearance from Kolkata to reaching Banaras. Sanoj reached Kolkata from Lucknow on 15 August. His phone became active for a while in Kolkata, then he could not be contacted for 48 hours, so his wife Dvati Mishra lodged a complaint about his disappearance.
Sanoj Mishra told the entire incident in a press conference in Lucknow. He said that he was getting threats ever since the trailer of the film was released. He was being harassed by Kolkata Police. West Bengal Police started sending notices to his Mumbai house. Then he shifted from Mumbai to Lucknow. Even then his troubles did not reduce. He kept getting threats from West Bengal Police here too.
Sanoj Mishra went to Kolkata and tried to solve the case by meeting the investigating officers. He reached Kolkata on 15 August. As soon as he reached Kolkata, Sanoj switched off his mobile for security reasons. Everything was closed on 15 August due to Independence Day, so he decided to visit Maa Kali and waited for the court to open on 16 August.

Sanoj Mishra told that by the time he reached Maa Kali temple on 15th August, the doors of the temple were closed and it was told that it will open by 4 pm. Sanoj Mishra opened his mobile at around 3.30 pm and contacted his legal advisors in Mumbai and then soon after that he started seeing some suspicious people around him who seemed to have come there with the intention of searching for Sanoj. Perhaps he was being tracked because his mobile was open.

Sanoj Mishra still suspected that some suspect was following him, so he diverted his attention by throwing both his mobiles in the dustbin and left for Howrah station. He did not feel it was right to stay in Kolkata. He caught the Doon Express and got down at Banaras. He stayed with beggars at Assi Ghat in Kashi. He could not contact his family due to lack of contacts.
Mental health treatment lasted for two days in Lucknow
While Dwati Mishra was going to Kolkata with Lucknow police, she had reached Muzaffarpur when she got a message from an unknown person that he had seen Sanoj Mishra at Assi Ghat in Banaras. After confirmation, she reached Assi Ghat with the police and met Sanoj. Sanoj’s mental condition was not good, so she brought him to Lucknow and his treatment continued for two days. He is fine.
